OPPORTUNITY  #13

The mother is ill and cannot possibly work. The father works in a yeshiva but is a far cry from making a living. Before GOT CHICKEN entered their lives, this family would buy a loaf of bread and a bit of cheese on Sunday. Each day, every member of the family got a slice of bread and a drop of cheese in the morning and the same for dinner. The father would buy a bag of potato chips and everyone who behaved that day would get to sprinkle one chip on his bread as a treat. They now they have basic staples of food for Shabbos and all week long.

OPPORTUNITY  #27

A family of ten children where the mother runs the busy home and the father is a principle in a local yeshiva. Before GOT CHICKEN, the families’ budget allowed them to have only grape juice and Challah for Shabbos and then it was time to bentch! The meal was essentially non-existent. Now they are able to enjoy Shabbos the way it was intended to be!

OPPORTUNITY  #36

With two crippled children it is very hard for this family to make it week to week, yet they are somehow able to do it. However, when Yom Tov comes around it sends the family indo debt in ways they can never hope to pay back. We at GOT CHICKEN paid off their grocery bills and send them bi-yearly packages which help the family cope with the bills and get through the tough times.
